#1 Coming home after 8 months of travelling in South-East Asia
Finally I'm back in my hometown in the Netherlands! It has been lovely seeing my family and friends again, but at the same time it feel weird being back.
#2 The Do's & don'ts while solo-travelling in Asia
During my time abroad I have learned a lot about different cultures and what is acceptable in them and what is not. In the West we have certain norms and values and in the East they have theirs. I believe that when we visit a country we have to adapt and to respect the culture we are in.
#3 Bandung & Jakarta on West-Java in Indonesia
Go to Bandung and explore the beautiful nature around this busy city. The North has beautiful mountains and an active vulcano. The South has a white crater, tea plantations and hot springs! Also explore Jakarta; observe the crazy traffic, walk around the old town and get a drink on one of the amazing rooftops overlooking the city.
Who am I?
Hi, my name is Camille and on this blog, I share my travel experiences. I have traveled to many places in Asia and in Europe and I look forward to sharing my stories with you. I just came home from 8 months of solo travelling through South-East Asia.
I want to offer you some insides in the life of a female solo traveler. To give you some tips on how to behave in other cultures, on how to stay safe and how to feel confident while traveling. I also want to encourage people to go and travel. I often hear stories about people being too afraid to go traveling alone, and as finding a friend to go with you is not always possible, they decide to stay home. Which is a pity, because traveling alone is nothing to be afraid of. You will meet tons of people, create beautiful memories and have an amazing time.
This is also the biggest reason I started this blog. To inspire people to go and explore the world, to be happy and do what you want in life. Nothing or no one is holding you back except yourself. There is always a way, you just have to take action and find it.
